2016 Asprolithi by Oenoforos, Vol 11.5%
Grape Variety: 100% Roditis
Region: Patras / Peloponnese
Did you know?
A very old Greek variety, Roditis, an amazing wine zone, the mountains of Egialia and a Greek pioneer oenologist-winemaker, Aggelos Rouvalis are the source of Oenoforos.
The name ‘Asprolithi’ means ‘whitestone’,and recalls the many outcrops of white limestone and the dry stonewalls of the region.
A delightfully fresh white wine with good mouthfeel comes to ‘irritate’ the nose and palate with exotic fruit aromas of pineapple and kiwi with a characteristic strong backbone of citrus associated with Roditis.
There is also a distinctive minerality coming from the typicity of the region.
