2011 Paros Reserve Moraitis Vol 13%
Grape Variety: 40% Mandilaria, 60% Monemvassia
Region: Paros Island
Did you know? This is a rare blend of two ancient grape varieties: the deep red colour Mandilaria and the aromatic white Monemvassia.
Moraitis family ages this wine in oak barrels for 24 months and another 12 months in the bottle before they release it on the market. It is that type of wine which you can keep home for many years and open it on special occasions.
Flavour notes: When we first tasted this wine, we had the impression that we war eating a black-cherry chocolate. Vanilla, plums, chocolate and cherries are the main aromas in this unique blend !
TGL recommendation: This wine is in need of some meat. Needs lamb, veal & even a nice juicy rib-eye steak.
