Did you know?: In 1840, the philhellene King Otto, decided to move the capital of Greece into Athens. Under the shade of the Acropolis, in the cobblestone streets of the old city of Plaka, King Otto laid down the foundations for the new Athens. It was here that Ioannis Vouher created the first Greek vermouth by appointment to King Otto, honouring an ancient Greek tradition and celebrating a new era.
